A Blind Date with a Book is a surprise book curated by BlooCreations, waiting for you to discover it! The title and cover are hidden until you open your package, so you can experience the fun of discovering a story without knowing exactly what you're getting.

Each book is carefully selected and wrapped by hand, along with bookish goodies to make your reading date even more special.

Choose the Blind Date that matches your reading mood, then tell me a little about your reading preferences at checkout. I'll use the information you provide to choose a book that I think will be a good match for you, while keeping the title and cover a surprise.

When your package arrives, you'll discover the book along with a description sticker and clues about your mystery read—just enough to give you a little taste of the story before you dive in.

Each Blind Date includes a carefully selected book, wrapped by hand and accompanied by a collection of bookish goodies to make your reading experience extra special.

Depending on the Blind Date, your package may include a handmade bookmark, stickers, annotation tabs, a book description sticker, tea or coffee, a small treat, and other little surprises.

The exact extras may vary depending on the Blind Date, the theme and what is available at the time of your order. The book is always the star of the date!

The more you tell me, the better I can match you with your mystery read! You can share your favourite genres, authors, tropes, themes—or tell me about a book you've loved recently.

Want to give me an even better idea of your reading taste? You can also share a link to your Goodreads or Babelio profile/list, or email me a photo of your bookshelf after placing your order. I'll use your answers and recommendations to choose a Blind Date that I think you'll enjoy.

You can also tell me what you'd rather avoid. While I can't guarantee a perfect match every time, I'll do my best to make your mystery date a good one!

We offer both brand-new and pre-loved books!

Our regular Blind Dates feature brand-new books, while our Upcycled Blind Dates feature pre-loved books that are ready for a new reading adventure.

Pre-loved books may show some signs of having been read before, such as light creasing, shelf wear or other minor imperfections. We carefully select each book and only choose ones that are in good, readable condition.

We believe a good story deserves more than one life.

Every Blind Date is carefully curated by me. I don't simply choose a book at random and wrap it up!

For each book, I do my homework: I research the story, read reviews and look at reader feedback before deciding whether it belongs in a BlooCreations Blind Date. For new books, I generally look for a 4.0+ rating on Goodreads, while also considering the number and quality of reader reviews.

I personally read most of the Dark Romance books I offer, while I don't necessarily read every book in my other categories. Instead, I spend time researching each title to make sure it fits the genre, theme and reading experience I'm looking for.

New books featured in my Blind Dates are sourced exclusively from Canadian and European authors, with the occasional Japanese title for Manga. I also make a point of supporting independent and self-published authors from Canada and Europe whenever possible.

The only exception is our pre-loved selection, which may include books by authors from other countries, including the United States.

The goal isn't to give you a random book—it's to help you discover your next great read.

Yes. Our Dark Romance Blind Dates are intended for readers aged 18 and over.

Dark Romance can explore mature, intense or disturbing themes, and the level of darkness varies from book to book. Some stories may include violence, obsession, power imbalances, explicit content or other sensitive themes.

I do my best to research each book and provide relevant information about its themes, but if you have specific content you prefer to avoid, please let me know when placing your order so I can take your preferences into consideration.

Dark Romance isn't just “romance with a little spice” — things can get dark.

Yes! Every Blind Date is assembled individually, so no two packages are exactly alike.

The book is selected according to the category you choose and the reading preferences you provide, while the accompanying goodies may vary depending on the book, theme, colours, available materials and current creations.

Even when two customers choose the same type of Blind Date, their packages may look a little different.

That's part of the magic of a BlooCreations Blind Date—you never know exactly what your date will look like until it arrives.

Your Blind Date is designed to be a surprise, so the book and included goodies are carefully selected by me to complement your mystery read.

You can, however, mention a beverage preference in the note at checkout—for example, tea instead of coffee or coffee instead of tea—and I'll do my best to accommodate it.

If there's a small item you'd prefer not to receive, you're also welcome to mention it in your order note. While I can't guarantee that I can replace or exchange every item, I'll do my best to make your Blind Date a good fit for you.

The photos give you an idea of what you can expect, but your Blind Date may not contain the exact same accessories, colours or designs shown in the photos.

Since many of the items are handmade and I create my Blind Dates in small batches, designs and materials may vary. I may also update the contents as new creations and products become available.

Your package will always be thoughtfully curated to match the Blind Date you selected.

That's exactly why I ask about your reading history!

When placing your order, you can tell me about books you've already read or own, or share your Goodreads or Babelio list—or even send me a photo of your bookshelf by email. I'll use this information when choosing your Blind Date and do my best to avoid sending you a book you already have.

Because Blind Dates are a surprise, I can't guarantee that you won't receive a book you've already encountered, but the more information you give me, the better I can match your mystery read!
